Grenada, Southernmost of the Windward Islands has been said by many to be the most beautiful of the Caribbean Islands. The Hills, Valleys, Beaches and Diverse Vegetation offer a Variety unique only to Grenada.
The State constitutes three Islands: Mainland Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique.
Mainland Grenada is divided into Six parishes: - St. George, St David, St. Andrew, St. John, St. Mark and St. Patrick. The Capital city, St. George’s is located in parish St. George.
Carriacou, beautiful like Grenada, is notorious for it’s untainted Ethnic Folk Cultures.
Altogether, our population is approx. 105,000 people with 95% being Christians. The main Religions are catholic, Anglican and Seventh Day Adventists.
The Currency is the East Caribbean Dollar (EC$) which exchanges at US$1.00 to EC$2.68.
Our language is English.
The two main institutions of Higher Education are The University of The West Indies and St. George’s University.
Grenada has two Seasons: The Rainy Season- June to January and the Dry Season-February to May.
Temperatures range between 25°C to 30˚ C.
